Pedestrians in New York City are constantly at risk of an injury by fast moving taxis, speeding cars, public buses, rapid moving motorcycles, and hurried bicycles. The Jaguar flipped over and landed on the sidewalk in front of the Starbucks hitting some pedestrians. The drivers of both vehicles plus a passenger in the Impala were taken to Bellevue Hospital and were in critical condition. Five others including at three pedestrians were also taken to the hospital and were in serious condition. Two people refused treatment and so far no one has been cited in the accident. An investigation is ongoing.
